We look forward to welcoming you into our onsite studio / workshop.  A fully equipped and well lit atelier awaits you where you will have the opportunity to learn basic woodworking skills through a variety of different projects in a very relaxed atmosphere.

With 40 years of joinery / carpentry experience and more recently cabinet making, we are keen to share our knowledge and skills with children and adults alike.

​

Our wooden products are available to buy in reception, but your holiday souvenir or a gift for a loved one back home is much more personal if you have handmade it yourself.

​

We will begin with a quick briefing on the safe use of the different tools required for your project.  These may include: ruler, pencil, marking gauge, try square, tenon saw, dovetail saw, coping saw, hammer, mallet, chisel, smoothing plane, pyrography pen, sandpaper and glues

 

You will be able to select your species of wood and will learn measuring and marking out techniques, basic joints, cutting and planing and finally different finishes and their correct application.
